A New York City native, Daricel Calcano is an emerging Dominican powerhouse of the arts. A proud member of Actors’ Equity, she is a stage manager, occasional actor, full-time educator and a costume designer (in no particular order), she has received her B.A. at The City College of New York, her M.F.A. at Brooklyn College — both colleges of The City University of New York (CUNY) and her M.A.T. at the Relay Graduate School of Education, in partnership with her teaching residency.

Fueled by the fondness of storytelling and teaching others through her own experiences, Daricel considers herself an ‘ever changing student’, eager to both build on her academic foundations of the arts and assist the newest generation of storytellers while teaching the future.

The legacy continues.
